Build a Circle

Words & Music by Cath Parsons

Arranged & produced by Sylvia Wang Music

AMWChoir Virtual recording

‘Build a Circle’ celebrates the circles of support formed by Defence families when bringing a serving member home from conflict or injury, but the ‘ripples of care’ extend way beyond those boundaries and reach to the core of Defence families renewable resilience.

An AMWChoir Virtual Choir project in 2020, this simple ballad was recorded by AMWChoir singers and their families in 2020 as a Christmas gift to the Defence Force community. This version has the voice parts and sign-singing as seen in the YouTube clip, along with chords and the guitar accompaniment.

Written by Australian Defence Force member Jay Parsons, this simple ballad was transcribed by Cath for Jay’s nieces and nephews when Jay deployed to the Middle East in 2015.
